Day 4 - Write a story/excerpt to include the line, “Sorry, we can’t insure you for a journey like that.”

Now that Alan was living in Los Angeles and was still busy with his career as a basketball player, Yanik found himself more frequently enjoying the free days he was able to spend with his boyfriend during his stay. At the times he had to spend alone, he took extra shifts in the cafe he was working at or met once or twice with Alissa. It helped his mind from getting to fogged up with thoughts with her being all lively and fun to be with.

But the times he loved the most, were still the ones spent with Alan. More than once they travelled around the US, one city at a time, of course, and basked in their togetherness. There however was one famous and mysterious place that Yanik once in his lifetime wanted to see. The Bermuda Triangle. It excited him the same way as it frightened him. But with Alan by his side the petite blonde didn't have to fear anything.

That was however until one simple statement of the receptionist of the travel agency shattered his plans. “I'm sorry, but we can't insure you for a journey like that,” the young woman announced and explained to him that their agency refrained themselves from offering trips to the Bermuda Triangle because it was too much of a dangerous place and they did not want to be at fault when one of their clients suddenly went missing.

Yanik sighed at that and Alan had sailed with him to the Statue of Liberty instead. Well, a kiss shared on top of its crown surely had something nice as well.
