"I'm home!" JaeJoong called out once he stepped into the entry hall of the apartment he shared with his boyfriend. He ruffled through his light-brown hair, freeing it from the white snow he had brought in from outside.

He unwrapped his woollen scarf, calling out for his boyfriend who hadn't greeted him yet, "YunHo?"

No answer.

Wondering where YunHo could be, Jaejoong went into their living room. The chamber was decorated for Christmas, light shed by their Christmas tree. It smelled slightly of incense.

He faced the hallway towards their bedroom with his back, not noticing that someone sneaked up on him on quiet feet. A startled gasp fell from JaeJoong's lips when two palms covered his eyes. A wide smile followed when he registered those hands belonging to YunHo.

"Welcome home," YunHo whispered into JaeJoong's ear, planting a chaste kiss onto JaeJoong's lips when the latter turned around.

'Raff, raff,' it barked in the background when YunHo was close to steal a proper kiss from JaeJoong's lips. JaeJoong pulled away in surprise.

"What was that?" he asked, wondering why a dog was barking in their apartment. As far as he knew they didn't have one.

"Aish, little yobbo. You spilled the surprise," YunHo mumbled when he made his way towards their bedroom, JaeJoong staring after him in wonder. His eyes widened when YunHo came out with a little Alsatian puppy on his arm.

"YunHo," he whispered.

"Actually I wanted to give him to you tomorrow, you know, Christmas and all, but it seems that he wanted to meet you now," YunHo muttered, ruffling the puppy's ears. JaeJoong smiled widely when he gave YunHo a chaste kiss onto his cheek.

"Thank you," he breathed and kissed YunHo softly on the lips.

"He's so cute," he said and ruffled the little puppy's head, the small one wiggling its tail happily.
