The night sky was clear, stars shining down on the sleeping town holding so many people and yet one was still awake, standing on a balcony and looking up into the sky, a woolen poncho holding him warm.
The air he inhaled was clear and cold, exchanged with his warm breath forming mists. The big glass door slid open, warm arms gently wrapping around the smaller male's form and a head resting against his own.
“Can't you sleep, baby?” the taller one breathed, kissing the nape of the other's neck who slowly shook his head.
“No, it's just the trouble maker that's keeping me awake,” the smaller one replied with a soft smile as he embraced his protruding tummy.
“You should ignore him and rest, Jae,” the taller male replied, nuzzling his nose into the crook of JaeJoong's neck as he caressed the womb under his hands.
“It's easy for you to talk. Next time you will be the one carrying our baby and then you will see how hard it is to ignore someone growing inside of you,” JaeJoong retorted with a smirk, leaning back into the warmth emanating from his husband and earned an amused chuckle.
“It smells like snow,” JaeJoong breathed as the cold air he was inhaling sent a tingling through his body, successfully changing the topic.
“Appa,” a sleepy voice echoed softly through the living room, causing the two men at the balcony to turn around.
A small girl of three-and-a-half years was standing in the door frame, clutching a rabbit-plushie against her chest and wearing a nightdress that was reaching her calves. Pitter-patter of naked little feet resounded through the silent room when the little girl walked over to her parents while she was rubbing her sleepy little eyes.
“SunMi-yah, did we wake you?” YunHo asked his daughter softly, cradling her in his arms as he kissed her forehead.
“Uh, uh,” SunMi replied, shaking her head softly before she snuggled into the warm chest of her father.
“Wanna go back to sleep?” YunHo asked softly, SunMi nodding in her half-asleep state.
“You coming, too, Joongie?” he asked his husband, earning a soft smile and nod from him. JaeJoong closed the balcony door behind him, following his husband and daughter in a toddling way to catch some more sleep.
The first snow crystals were falling down on Seoul as the little family cuddled in the cozily bed and fell back asleep.
