[challenge] Day 1 - Manuel/JinSang
Day 1 - Select a book at random in the room. Find a novel or short story, copy down the last sentence and use this line as the first line of your new story.
“When they left the forest half an hour later and turned south, it started raining.” - Wolfgang Hohlbein, Der Untergang (Die Chronik der Unsterblichen 4, German novel about vampires)
Manuel/JinSang (OC) → drabble || romance, pg
“I don't like it in here,” a voice echoed through a dark forest, the spoken words holding an accent when muttered in soft English. It belonged to the smaller masculine figure of two walking side by side along a hiking trail.

“I don't like it in here,” a voice echoed through a dark forest, the spoken words holding an accent when muttered in soft English. It belonged to the smaller masculine figure of two walking side by side along a hiking trail.
“I thought you wanted to walk through a German forest?” the other remarked, his blondish hair practically shining in the darkness of the forest. He was at least a head taller than his Korean companion.
“I did. But I didn't know it'd be that scary in here,” the younger man with short black hair responded. It were the animals that kind of scared him, but he didn't want Manuel to know that. After all, he didn't want to be a scaredy cat in his eyes. But as it seemed, that was to be a failure. Manuel just laughed in amusement and ruffled the black mop of JinSang's hair affectionately. The smaller poked him in the ribs as response.
When they left the forest half an hour later and turned south, it started raining. They didn't have an umbrella, but it didn't seem to bother them.
“Well, then we should leave,” Manuel muttered with a soft smile and dragged the younger Korean exchange student out of the forest. He held tightly onto JinSang's hand.

“Manu, let go,” JinSang mumbled, his eyes fixed on his hand clasped in Manuel's bigger palm.
“No can do,” the other responded with a sheepish smile. A hue of red crossed JinSang's cheeks. He was embarrassed at Manuel's open affection towards him. He wasn't used to something like this.
“But-” he wanted to interject but his words were stuck in his throat when Manuel planted a soft kiss onto his knuckles.
“Relax. There's nothing to be afraid of,” the taller muttered and planted another kiss onto the smaller hand in his palm. JinSang was left speechless and just let himself be dragged through the streets back towards Manuel's home. A smile tucked on his lips when he stared at their entwined hands. 'Oh well,' he thought and squeezed Manuel's hand just a little bit.
