Summary: Friday night is full of surprises.
Loud chattering drowning out soft music, bottles and glasses clinking, televisions being ignored. It was a normal Friday night at the 70's Radio Pub and the waiters were bustling around like diligent little bees. Whenever a customer's bell rang, one of the employees clad in black and white rushed to take their orders.
Hurried a young man of 24 years came back from his twenty minute break. Friday was always one of the busier days.
“JaeJoong, hurry! We really need you here!” exclaimed a rushed voice once the auburn haired tugged his black apron around his middle.
“Yes, I'm right there!” JaeJoong responded, tying the black fabric tight behind his back. Once he stepped out of the staff's room, he let his gaze wander around the room. It was completely filled, and it was just the second floor! He really didn't want to know how crowded the other floors were.
“JaeJoong, could you take table 20?” came his co-worker's and friend's voice from behind. When the auburn haired faced the younger male, he immediately got hold of the bowl the other had almost lost.
“Sure. And JungMin, I so often have told you to not take everything into your hands when you know that you can't handle it. Or, for the next time, just take a tray with you,” he scolded the younger with a soft smile playing on his lips.
“I know,” JungMin sighed, successfully placing four glasses onto the bar. With an encouraging pat onto his shoulders, JaeJoong made a beeline for table 20. It lay in one of the more quiet corners of the pub.
With fast steps he flew by every other table, knowing every free corner by heart. A smile crept into his face when JaeJoong focused onto table 20. It was occupied by one single man. Short brown hair embraced a handsome face, brown eyes lifting up when they caught sight of the auburn haired waiter.
“Jae!” the brown haired exclaimed joyfully, eyes sparkling and pearly whites flashing a dazzling smile.
“YunHo, what are you doing here?” JaeJoong exclaimed with surprise, stealing a glance at the busy part of the room before he sat down next to the brown haired.
“Can't I visit my busy boyfriend?” the other responded, grabbing JaeJoong's hand before he planted a kiss onto his cheek. A wide smile spread over JaeJoong's lips together with a soft blush.
“That's sweet of you, YunHo, but today is really not the best day to distract me,” the auburn haired remarked, a fake pout marring his features.
“Too bad. I planned on kidnapping you for a walk along the Cheonggyecheon once your shift is over,” YunHo responded, voice warm and endearing. JaeJoong's heart fluttered at the promised date. It had been quite some time since they last had one. Ever since YunHo had gotten his job as a mechanic they couldn't spend that much time together as before.
“But, it's still another three hours. You could have come by then,” JaeJoong said, touched at YunHo's actions. “You haven't even changed your clothes.”
“Well, I didn't scrub my hands that much either,” YunHo replied mischievously, tickling JaeJoong with his fingers still slightly dirty from his work at the mechanics.
“Ah, no. Get your dirty hands off me!” JaeJoong exclaimed with a hearty laughter. In a moment where no one was paying attention to the young couple, YunHo claimed JaeJoong's lips in a loving kiss, taking the auburn haired by surprise. A wide smile lay on YunHo's lips when he pulled back, just watching JaeJoong.
“I-I should get back to work,” the latter mumbled, flushed and startled.
“I shan't hold you back then,” YunHo replied with a pleased smile. Not letting go of JaeJoong's hand, the auburn haired stood up.
“You really want to wait?” JaeJoong asked once more, squeezing YunHo's hand. The brown haired nodded, “Yeah.”
“Okay,” JaeJoong sighed, a soft smile on his lips. “What do you want to drink?” he then asked, taking out his notepad.
“The usual,” YunHo answered.
“But just one. I don't want you to get drunk,” JaeJoong replied, eyeing his boyfriend with a raised eyebrow.
“Yes, sir,” YunHo remarked, saluting at JaeJoong who slightly whacked his head with the notepad before he returned to his co-workers.
“God, JaeJoong! What took you so long? I already was on the verge of calling the police!” JungMin greeted his friend when he finally returned to the bar.
“Calm down. I've been just away for two minutes,” JaeJoong remarked, huffing a breath.
“Make that five.” JaeJoong blinked, surprised. “Oh,” he muttered, laughing embarrassed.
“Let me guess,” came their shift supervisor's voice from behind him. “YunHo?”
JaeJoong didn't even have to answer, his sudden blush and speechlessness everything the others needed to know.
“The usual?” ChanMi asked, taking the notepad out of JaeJoong's hands.
“The usual,” he muttered, apologizing for his unprofessionality.
“Never mind. Just hurry up and maybe I'll give you 30 minutes earlier off,” the blond haired woman exclaimed, winking at the younger male.
“Yes, immediately!” JaeJoong beamed and headed directly for the next customer ringing for them.
Over the next two hours JaeJoong was the most diligent little bee, always watched by his boyfriend's eyes from afar. YunHo loved to watch JaeJoong when working or being caught up with something. He loved the passion he always could feel when JaeJoong did something with all his heart.

YunHo took a last sip of his beer, munching on the crackers always served together with a drink. He wondered where JaeJoong had gone to. He hadn't seen him for the last 15 minutes.
“ChanMi, have you seen JaeJoong?” YunHo asked when his boyfriend's supervisor came towards his table. The blonde smiled, getting hold of YunHo's empty glass.
“He's changing,” she said, winking at YunHo. The latter smiled in joy when he made a move to grab his bill. ChanMi stopped him.
“You can give it to me. JaeJoong paid already,” she remarked, leaving with a smile and let a flabbergasted YunHo behind.
The brown haired waited at his table, sitting whilst dreaming. Since he faced the wall he didn't register someone coming up to him from behind. Soft palms lay above his eyes, a smile crossing YunHo's lips when the scent of olive filled his nostrils and he felt a cold substance brushing over his cheek. He got hold of the paler hands, turning his head back to the one behind him. A soft and loving kiss was shared.
“Didn't you want to kidnap me?” JaeJoong breathed against YunHo's lips when they had broken apart, both smiling.
“Let's go then. The night is still young,” YunHo remarked, dragging JaeJoong out of the pub. The air of the night was comfortable, the streets of Seoul still busy. Hand in hand they walked along a quieter street, their destination the Cheonggyecheon. YunHo seemed to be in a hurry, JaeJoong noticed.
“YunHo, why are you hurrying?” he voiced out, amused at his boyfriend's excitement.
“That's a secret,” the brown haired responded, now pushing JaeJoong playfully along the streets.
“What are you doing?” JaeJoong asked whilst laughing, trying to not trip over his own feet.
“You will see,” YunHo chimed, pushing JaeJoong towards a bank on their right. JaeJoong stumbled inside, laughing whilst wondering what exactly YunHo was up to.
“Yun, what-” he wanted to ask but his sentence died down in the kiss YunHo stole from his lips. It was a short peck, YunHo's hand palming JaeJoong's face before he leaned in once more. Their lips moved sensually over one another, YunHo's left hand lingering on JaeJoong's hips whilst the other was holding onto his broad shoulders. JaeJoong's breath was unstable, soft mewls surrounding them when their tongues made contact between their coalesced lips. Their kiss halted for another two minutes before they broke apart, chests heaving and cheeks flushed. YunHo's forehead rested against JaeJoong's, their eyes locked whilst sheepish smiles were gracing their bruised lips.
It took them another two minutes to stumble out of the bank, JaeJoong straightening his hair before he placed his hand atop his chest. He was still breathless.
“Seriously .... YunHo,” he breathed, heart still pounding hard in his chest. He held tightly onto YunHo's hand, his feet a bit wobbly. “You could've waited until we got home,” he mumbled, a bit embarrassed. Bloody hell, someone could have walked in on them!
“Nope, you were just too irresistible,” YunHo replied, planting a chaste kiss onto JaeJoong's temple before he let go of the latter's hand and embraced his waist instead.
The flush gracing JaeJoong's features lasted throughout their walk along the Cheonggyecheon in the middle of the night, soft light surrounding them not far from the busy streets rolling above their heads.
It was a Friday night both would remember. And it wasn't near over yet.
